This is a paper by Lisa R. Wilkinson, an ESL teacher, published in The Internet TESL Journal, Vol. XIV, No. 7, July 2008. In this article, she describes some of the problems that students from other countries have with copying and plagiarising, especially in actually understanding why English-speaking countries think that plagiarism is such a bad crime. This article may be aimed more towards teachers but it is a good article for students to read as well.
